Articles are published by the Stop & Verify Editorial Team. This is the accountable research and editing function for the independent Stop & Verify project—not a bank, regulator, police service or commercial recovery provider.
Each guide shows its publication date, latest review date and the official sources used. Material corrections are reflected in the review information rather than hidden behind a silent date change.
What the team does
Turn broad warnings into decisions a reader can make.
Official advisories often cover a wide campaign or a particular jurisdiction. Our work is to identify the transferable behaviour—the pressure, secrecy, payment instruction or attempt to block independent verification—and explain a safer response without pretending to authenticate an individual contact.

Review standard
A source list is the beginning of review, not the end.
A guide is checked for four things: whether its central pattern is supported by the cited source, whether the first action can be taken without trusting the suspicious contact, whether recovery advice is proportionate, and whether the language avoids guarantees.
Time-sensitive claims are rechecked against the linked source. A new date is added only when the review is meaningful; changing punctuation or layout alone does not make an article newly reviewed.

Transparent about what this identity is—and is not.
The editorial identity does not claim to be a licensed financial adviser, lawyer, law-enforcement body, incident-response company or victim-recovery service. Stop & Verify provides source-backed general education. It cannot investigate evidence, identify a sender, recover funds or declare a transaction safe.
